Grant and Phillippa

Grant Craig


Grant grew up in Johannesburg and graduated from Onderstepoort in 1998. After graduating he went to work in the United Kingdom for 18 months in small animal practice. Upon returning to South Africa he spent 3 years working at a clinic on the West Rand. He left that clinic in 2003 to open the Paulshof Veterinary Clinic and this has been his passion ever since. He is married to Phillippa and they have 2 daughters.

Phillippa Wagner


Phillippa also grew up in Johannesburg and graduated from Onderstepoort in 1998. She spent a year working in the United Kingdom in small animal practice. When she returned to South Africa she spent a year working at the Gardens Veterinary Clinic in Norwood followed by 4 years and the Orange Grove Veterinary Hospital. In addition to consultations and regular veterinary work, Phillippa also ensures the smooth running of the practice.

Grant and Phillippa have a menagerie of pets including 3 naughty labradors,
5 cats (all rescues), and lots of gold fish.

Maxine Elliott


Maxine joined the practice in 2016. She has worked as a companion animal veterinarian for more than 20 years. She is married with 2 children and has 4 dogs, 2 cats and a dozen chickens.


Kerry Mc Adam

Kerry is a true animal fanatic and someone who really enjoys being active. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family,two pugs and one cat. In her free time when possible she loves reading and cooking .

Natasha Walker

Natasha started working as the afternoon receptionist in May 2011, after a long stint at the airport she needed a change. Natasha keeps everyone on their toes and in order. She has little free time because she enjoys reading, gardening and chasing her 2 cats around the house.

Alfred Nkhoma

Alfred Nkhoma - Kennel assistant

Alfred and Grant go way back! He has been in animal care for over 23 years. He started by caring for pregnant bitches and puppies. He began working at Paulshof Vet when it opened in 2003. Alfred oversees grooming, preparation of animals for surgery, and collection and delivery of your precious pets. He is our cat whisperer.

Lucas Nkhoma

Lucas Nkhoma - Kennel assistant

Lucas joined the practice in October 2012. He is always helpful and working with a smile. He enjoys spending time with his family, working on his car and watching sports on TV.

Silas Kgafela

Silas Kgalafela - Kennel assistant

Silas started working at the clinic in July 2014. Silas has learned a lot in his time here. He enjoys watching soccer and wrestling. He is an avid Pirates fan.
